Bountiful Blooms, the first-ever Philippine International Flower Festival (PHILIFF), wll soon be a buzz as a one-stop-shop-to-go event on September 19-22!
On Wednesday, last July 17, PHILIFF held its press launch at the SPACE at One Ayala, Level 5, One Ayala, 1 Ayala Avenue, Makati City, 3 pm.
Two months from now, the event aims to boost Philippine economic growth. It will spotlight floral designing, garden landscaping, a trade show, exhibits on Ikebana, Bonsai, and Orchids, and a floral fashion show-curated by Mr. Jerry Sibal with invited international artists. The festival presents a unique opportunity for Filipino horticulturists and florists to network, sustain, and expand their territories and economy.
PHILIFF aims to:
(1) build a new global flower export industry for economic growth;
(2) attract local and foreign investors in Philippine agriculture:
(3) create sustainable livelihood for farmers and growers;
(4) explore the latest developments in floriculture and horticuture technology;
(5) introduce new and emerging tourism destinations;
(6) introduce business opportunities for community development;
(7) develop more interests on other facets of agriculture among the local communities;
(8) educate the farmers and growers on new skills
The visionary producer of the upcoming event, Jerry Sibal, is a Filipino, Chinese, and American based in New York City. He authored a coffee table book, An Event to Remember, published by Stewart Tabori & Chang, an imprint of Abrams Books.

Sibal, known for creating magical settings, spectacular and lavish weddings, corporate events, and charity balls, has envisioned this momentous event as a gateway to cultivating, celebrating, and promoting the Philippines as a major producer of flowers in the region, next to Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
