Considered as one of the hole-in-the-wall restaurants that you can find along the tiny streets of San Juan City; Mala Tang Hot Pot & Roastings is a family owned restaurant. Passion and love for food is what drives the owner to continue to explore and remake Asian dishes. This humble store may be tiny but it has a lot to offer. Currently, most of their customers are ordering via phone and then picking up when ready. Now, they expanded the store to accommodate dine-in customers too!

I remember duck meat to be a little too gamey but this one is flavorful and tender.

Always love a sweet entry like this dish.
LECHON MACAU
Who doesn’t love to hear that crackling skin and take a bite of this sinful but yummy dish
HONGKONG WHITE CHICKEN
Who would’ve thought, I loved this chicken because it was light and flavorful.
HONGKONG SOY CHICKEN
Tender and really yummy, but I prefer the white chicken.
The store was recently included at the TOP 10 BEST HONG KONG ROASTS IN MANILA that was published by the ESQUIREMAG.PH and little by little, the store is already gaining popularity.
Aside from roastings, they also have shabu-shabu and other signature dishes that one must try.

It’s like a Chinese kikiam and I love it so much I even ordered a take-out!

Appetizers? Yes but so filling and so delish little pieces of dimsum and dumpling heaven.
SALT & PEPPER SPARERIBS
Perfect as a beer match or even as a pair with your yangchow rice.
BUTTERED CHICKEN
So crispy and the butter flavor really came through, sarap!
OKIAM CHICKEN
Oh it’s my first time to try a red bean flavored chicken. I am not a fan of red beans but this one is delish!
Price range is very reasonable considering the serving size and the quality of the dishes are always vetted.

The store provides limited parking space but is encouraging everyone to try their pick up option. It is easy as CALL-ORDER-PICKUP. Call the store, place your orders and pick-up when ready. If you live around the area, GrabFood may be available.
(B)UTLER SERVICE:
The Mala Tang team is highly encouraging everyone to take photos of the dishes and post it on Instagram and Facebook. They are also on Zomato. Your reviews and social media impact matters to them.
All of them are friendly and brought our dishes and other requests ar the right time.
