If you have the penchant for the finer things in life, it is just right to indulge sometimes in a place where you feel like you will get your hard-earned money’s worth. I rarely go to the luxurious restaurants but when I have the chance, I become adventurous and grab it so that I can enjoy and reward myself.

I love pasta so I was craving for an Italian restaurant while at the Okada Manila and chanced upon La Piazza Ristorante Italiano.

The ambience was so enchanting for me and I thought to myself, this is where I am taking my lunch 😥, and an involuntary, little happy teardrop formed in my eye due to the excitement.

And now for our F.A.B. review!

TARTARE DE TONNO

Fresh and tasty ahi tuna tartare with raspberry coulis

FILETTO DI SALMONE

Perfectly cooked salmon fillet with purple potato mash, sautéed vegetables and chardonnay sauce

CONTADINA

Pizza topped with generous slices of yummy parma ham, shiitake mushrooms, potatoes, mozzarella, tomato and red onion

Thirsty? They have a massive beverage menu, most specially the wines. And mind you, they take their wine very seriously.

The place feels like a modern cavern with high arches and luxurious lightings..

Simple, spacious, clean and classy interiors best desribes their casual dining area. I love that their color theme includes lavander or purple that are noticeable on the glasses they use on their marble table tops.

Happy to see that some of the chairs are also lavander or purple because it’s in my favorite color scheme.

The walls of the restaurant is line with so many chillers that have countless number of wines imagineable.

There are two private rooms that have floor to ceiling windows that bring in the natural light and are adorned by neutral-colored drapes while large chandeliers hang high above the rooms.

The chairs are pastel-colored with the right velvety texture that spells comfort and luxury.

While having a magnificent view of the great fountian outside.

You may also opt to choose to reserve their Fine Dining area. This room has the same plush purple-themed couches and more comfortable seats while the ceilings that are adorned with crystal chandeliers and sophisticated lightings that are truly eye-candy. This room also have floor to ceiling windows that provide an unobstructed view of the beautiful Okada fountain.

For the drinking crowd, there is a bar section for those who want to enjoy a liquor or two from their bar menu.

But what is impressive here is their wine cellar! Got the chance to go inside their exclusive wine cellar that have some of the rarest and finest, mostly vintage (and most expensive) wines that will draw attention from any wine conoisseur. La Piazza houses one of two of the most exclusive wine cellars OKADA MANILA. This wine cellar is said to be where some of Charmaine Okada’s favorite vintage wines are, which range from Php 500,000 to a couple million of pesos.

From the line-up of wine, drinks and delectable Italian dishes, this is for sure, one of the amazing experiences to remember.
