Fredley Food and Beverages Inc., has been in the Philippines for more than 4 years bringing in different food concepts like milk tea & coffee, classic Japanese food, yakiniku and shabu-shabu that Filipino foodies and non-foodies love. This year, they built their own complex that houses their different brands: Macau Imperial Tea, Shabu-Shabu Ichiban and Mitasu Charcoal Yakiniku.
FoodFlings.PH, as a correspondent of WhatToEatPH, was there to witness the grand launching of the Fredley Complex last October 14, 2017.
Macao Imperial Tea originated from Macau and has over 200 stores around China and Vietnam. They offer different milk tea and coffee and making the experience unique FOR YOU and FOR ME.
As we entered Macao Imperial Tea, we were greeted by a humungous hug-inviting, cute and cuddly teddy bear sitting alone maybe waiting for a companion to share his Macao Imperial drink with. (yes, even bears drink to! )
The place has lots of comfy seats for you to have a nice little chat and cozy up with your special someone, or be a loner and do your thesis or office work as they have enough power sockets and wi-fi for you to do your thing, or just simply chill out with your friends and hangout.
Their elaborate menu features different drinks such as teas that can be topped by cream cheese or chestnut cream and other add ons, coffee and an interesting soda comes in plastic containers that you can bring home to re-use and different yummy cakes and pastries. But what is most interesting are their ‘For You’ and ‘For Me’ drinks which come in cute bear ear bottles that you can share with your SO. You can choose from a Caramel Macchiato drink and a Strawberry Milk tea drink.
We went to other part of the complex where Shabu-Shabu Ichiban and MItasu Charcoal Yakiniku were located. These two restaurants share the same space, so you better decide if you want shabu-shabu or yakiniku.
Shabu-Shabu Ichiban is Nagoya’s No.1 Hotpot Chain and I am not wondering why due to the wide variety of meat, assorted balls and vegetables that you can order. They offer different sets ranging from P488 to P1,788 per set for weekday lunch and dinner and P688 to P1,988 for weekends and holidays. You may choose the soup base and all the sets come with assorted meat, meat balls and vegetables, dumplings, Japanese rice, kushikatsu (deep fried skewered pork meat) or Japanese-style fried chicken, desserts and drinks.
The special ones I saw in the menu are king crab legs, US beef short plate, US Angus Chuck Eye Roll to name a few. Yum! We were provided with their Set B and boy the servings were a lot!
Now, Mitasu Charcoal Yakiniku is their newest concept offering authentic Japanese yakiniku. They have an impressive array of meats for their Yakiniku; Japanese Wagyu Sirloin, Japanese Wagyu Inside Skirt, Australian Meltique Cube rolls, wagyu cubes, US hanging tender, and some seafood also; oyster, suahe, and scallops.
Aside from yakiniku, they also offer different classic Japanese food like sashimi, sushi, maki, donburi, tempura and ramen. What’s great about this concept is that even if the two restaurants offer different specialties but since they share the same space, you may order these Japanese classics too even if you are in Shabu-Shabu Ichiban.
Our love for Japanese food and milk teas cannot be denied since we have versions in the Philippines but the Fredley group offers this complex for us to have a complete dining experience. Shabu-shabu and yakiniku for lunch or dinner, and milk tea or coffee for dessert, this complex have them all.
Visit them now at 780 Banawe Street, Quezon City for a different and complete experience!
Congratulations Fredley Food and Beverages Inc.!
