The first ever Eco Hotel Green Conference 2019 was held at the Containers by Eco Hotel last June 19, 2019 and the #SaanSaPH Family was lucky to be part of this momentous “green” event.
Eco Hotel, a Green Service Hotel, one of the top leading eco-friendly and sustainable hotels, invited some environmental and sustainable organizations to give talks regarding their advocacies. This is a great way to let participants know our current ecological situation and learn different ways on how we can we part of the solution. WWF (World Wide Fund) PHILIPPINES
We have our local network called the WWF-Philippines since 1997. It has successfully been implementing various conservation projects to help protect some of the most biologically-significant ecosystems in Asia, particularly in the Philippines.
The WWF-Philippines works to improve Filipino lives by crafting solutions to climate change, providing sustainable livelihood programs, and conserving the country’s richest marine and land habitats.
Today, the organization also tackles the many forms of pollution which are destroying our nature which sustain human life. It also looks for new and sustainable ways of using the planet’s natural resources. WWF is taking action to protect the environment for both people and nature.

DOWN TO EARTH
DowntoEarth is a family farm located in Bukidnon. They grow biodynamic vegetables, and raise and source local cattle, heritage pork, lamb and native poultry. Their vegetables, herbs and flowers are sown, grown and harvested in rich, living soil, using biodynamic and sustainable agricultural practices.
They also raise animals outdoors on pasture and are raised in a loving and stress-free environment.

EVERYTHING GREEN
Taking the first and right step to a sustainable and zero-waste lifestlye by manufacturing an alternative to one of the most common unreused accessory in the hospitality industry, the hotel slippers.
With this, they introduced Gree-ne-las. Gree-ne-las is a greener alternative slippers made from unprocessed abacà “bakbak”, or dried abacà leaf sheaths.

The Plastic Solution is an environmental movement that aims to inspire action from individuals that range from young students to big corporations in the Philippines by repurposing plastic bottles. They stuff these plastic bottles with other plastics and will become a simple, alternative filler in constructing walls and fences for classrooms, houses, convention centers, garden pots, benches, etc. It will be an environmental movement to clean and take care of the environment in easy and accessible ways, through small actionable steps, while helping a community in need.

Booths were also setup so guests can have a more in-depth look on their programs and products of the participating organizations.
After all the talks and the booth presentations, all guests and participants were treated to a nice lunch in their Rooftop Grilling and Camping Restaurant and Bar.
As an online blogger partner of Eco Hotel, the Saan Sa PH Family is happy to participate in events and awareness campaigns spearheaded by Eco Hotel specially if matters of saving the environment is the main concern.
