While we immerse ourselves into our daily tasks and try to balance our work and personal lives, we often neglect to take care of ourselves. Nowadays, we become contented with anything that is instant, just like fast food or your instant noodles, so that we can just quickly move on with our daily lives. Good thing that there are people who still care for us and what we eat. Reminding us to take it slow, to eat natural and healthy for us to feel good not only about ourselves but about our environment: and that is NONIE’S.

We had the chance to meet the lovely owners, Patrick and Shria Florencio, young newlyweds who left their corporate jobs and followed their dream of having a socially responsible business of their own: a restaurant with healthy and quality food. We loved that they take into minds to have ingredients that are locally available in the Visayas and how they think of ways to give back to the community and to the environment. The restaurant is named after and is a fitting tribute to Patrick’s mother, Cenona Florencio, or Nonie for short.

NONIE’S carefully crafted #EatGoodFeelGood menu may be described in three phrases: HEALTHY and NATURAL, LOCALLY SOURCED and SUSTAINABLE.

The deliciously unique menu which was conceptualized with the Voodoo Chef himself Chef Ramon Antonio consists of healthy Filipino Classics with a modernized twist!

Only natural and fresh ingredients that are locally sourced from the Visayas region were used.  The owners are also aware that ingredients have to be sourced only from suppliers who raise and harvest these ingredients in an ethical and sustainable manner. All of these combined puts the GOOD in #EatGoodFeelGood.
