Along the bustling streets of Mandaluyong lies a giant peach of a restaurant. Peach Boy Restaurant promises to provide a unique dining experience that will keep guests coming back for more. Peach Boy aims to serve original and enticing food that’s also instagrammable!

(F)OOD:

It’s varied menu ranges from Filipino breakfast staples to Hawaiian-Japanese fusion dishes to classic American sandwiches and pastries.

STARTER

Crispy Crab & Cheese Pockets

Fried Wontons filled with crab, cream cheese, melted cheese, and herbs, served with sweet chili sauce. I love this dish since it is creamy and cheesy but wasn’t able to get much of the crab taste.

SALAD

Peach Salad

Mixed greens tossed in peach and honey vinaigrette, tomatoes, cashews, and peach slices. Love the fruity notes of this salad that made it refreshing and filling at the same time.

ALL DAY BREAKFASTS

Adobo Fried Rice Omelette

2 eggs omelette stuffed with chicken adobo fried rice, served with adobo sauce and peach salsa. I am a fan of adobo but I did not get that much adobo flavor when I dug unto this omelette, I must’ve used that adobo sauce to add flavor. Tsk tsk Love that it comes with a peach salsa that adds a different flavor profile.

Sisig Fried Rice Omelette

2 eggs omelette stuffed with crispy pork sisig fried rice, served with adobo sauce and peach salsa. The sisig was flavorful even without the sauce and I would love to order another one of this. They may have forgotten to put the peach salsa on the side but it didn’t matter because of this tasty entree.

SANDWICHES

Chori Burger

Homemade longganisa patty with sunny-side egg, barbecue mayo, and atchara, served in a brioche bun. Aesthetically, the egg covered mostly the burger but the patty was really flavorful and tender.

Peach Pork Belly

Tender pork belly glazed with their peach barbecue sauce, barbecue mayo, and peach salsa served in their banh mi bread. I love this sandwich, I’d rather eat it with a fork though to dig in those tender pork belly.

PASTA

Laing Pesto With Tinapa Pasta

Spaghetti Noodles with Coconut stewed Gabi Leaves Pesto, Topped with Tinapa Flakes. I am not a fan of laing and much more of this pasta. I think the laing overpowers the flavor of the tinapa so a different meat topping perhaps could’ve improved the earthy flavor of the laing.

MAINS

Teriyaki Chicken

Grilled Boneless Chicken Leg Quarter with Teriyaki Glaze and Cabbage Slaw. I love this dish, truly a delight to eat with rice.

BBQ Platter

Peach Baby Back Ribs, Peach Barbecue Pork Belly, Peach Barbecue Chicken Leg Quarter, Boneless Chicken Teriyaki, 2 sauces on the side, Sauteed Vegetables and Cabbage Slaw. This is a feast! A shareable dish for the carnivores. Love all the mmeat except for the ribs which was rather dry but packs flavor too.

DESSERTS

Ube Lava Pancakes

Ube flavored pancakes drenched in their special ube halaya sauce. Yummy! Truly a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. You have to put the sauce in all the pancae layers too to get that rich and decadent ube flavor.

Peach Cobbler

Layers of buttery streusels and peach compote, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Hmmm… maybe the streusel crumbs were a little big so it was quite tough to chew on, but nothing that the yummy vanilla ice cream could cure. Truly a great comfort food, no wonder that this is the owner’s favorite.

DRINKS

We tried their mango float milkshake, ube milkshake, mint choco milkshake, matcha milkshake, and choco nutty milkshake and they were all worthy for a sweet tooth to indulge on.

(A)MBIENCE:

Upon entering, you will immediately notice a tree in front of you and if you look closely, it is a peach tree! What a wonderful addition to the interiors, bringing indoors the outdoor scenes.

The restaurant has two floors, the first floor is big enough to cater to about 30 to 50 persons and greets you with simple interiors with motif of wood and metal. The place is well lit and feels homey and completely feels different from thw surroundings outside. It’s as if you are transported to someone’s very inviting home.

You will also notice a colorful mural of a market place and I noticed a lady carrying some peaches. I was wondering why not a boy since it would be fitting for the restaurant’s name 🙂

The second floor seats less but has a more private feel. There is also a colorful mural of jeepneys. The theme here seems black and white because of the white marble tabletops and the black leather couch and black and white seats.

The second floor has a a nice view of the scenes of the first floor.

(B)UTLER SERVICE:

We had no problems with the service. All our food and requests arrived on time.
